Simsbury Youth Field Hockey is dedicated to providing a fun, supportive environment for children interested in learning the game of field hockey.  Simsbury Youth Field Hockey offers beginner opportunities through Simsbury Park and Rec. for 5th/6th graders and more competitive opportunities through the Simsbury Sparks travel team for 7th/8th graders (which is based on Henry James Memorial School schedule).

Simsbury Sparks was created in 2018 and aims to provide players with a more competitive level of play. Our program allows players to learn, improve, and have fun; while also preparing them for high school level field hockey. 

In order to prepare the girls to play field hockey at the high school level, the games are more competitive and playing time will be determined, similarly to Simsbury High School, by effort, sportsmanship, team need and attendance.  

Typically, practices will be held 2 days a week with 2 to 3 games a week.  Actual schedule will be provided after teams have been created.
